my pulse was already racing but i'm sure it broke some new record as they instantiated themselves. intoning to me through some telepathic conduit, they dispensed the last wisdom i heard before blacking out, "you probably shouldn't have eyeballed that dosage."

I wanted to get some practice with wide-angle cameras and panoramic imagery in Blender so decided to muck around with this. It also gave me the opportunity to work on my "glowy objects" by creating better depth and life to them through adding a mixed glossy/emissive shader with a fresnel input.
The background was pretty fun too, I wanted to get that "space" feel, so used a mixed shader connecting a black background and a super-close colour-ramped noise texture with a high scale to create a field of stars. This whole shebang was then mixed with a stock equirectangular photo of a neon-lit empty room to add some of the purples/blues one could expect of being trapped in a nebula.
The desk and components were from CGAxis, although I modified the monitor to match my current wallpaper.
